Waverunners on 7 Mile Beach

We saw wave runner rentals at the Reef Grill and at the Beach Club Colony. They were $65 for a 1/2 hour for a single and $95 for a 1/2 hour for a double at the Reef Grill. I believe they were $70 and $95 at the Beach Club Colony.

We enjoyed the snorkeling at Cemetery Beach and I have heard that there is good snorkeling at Eden Rock.

I hope this helps!

Enjoy!

Thanks for the info! Is Cemetery Beach far from 7 Mile Beach?

Last year we rented a room at the Marriot with a Day rate. We were there

by 7;45AM and left at 4ish. They had jetski we rented while some of

us snorkeled at the beach.

We will do this again next time as we had the beach to ourselves. See one

of the pics I took while snorkeling...

We were there in May of 2007. If my memory recalls it was $70 for

the 4 of us. Which was cheaper than the the others which charge $25

per person. Not just the cost it was so GREAT to have a near private

beach. We would have paid twice that much to do it again. It was so so

nice.

DW said she things it was $75.00 per hour.

We love grand cayman because of the beaches. We have been there 3

times on cruises and love this stop for the water and sand.

Off the shore they have started to rebuild the reef and the fish have

return. We were able to walk out just 30 feet where fish were there

swimming with us.

Gazing- did you call ahead and reserve a room at the day rate? There are 8 of us girls going in 2 weeks. I would love to do this. Would we have to reserve 2 rooms since there are 8 of us? The last time I was in the Caymans was 16 yrs ago on my honeymoon! I love 7 mile beach and can't wait to see it again. Although this time will be will high school friends since we are all turning 40 this year! We can't wait. Any info would be great. Thanks, Lisa

We called about 10 days before we arrived.

I not not sure if you need the 2 rooms. But if you want all shower and clean

up before you head back to town I would get the 2 rooms. They have a

800 number you can call and talk with them.

Gazing- I called the 800 number this morning. The lady said we would have to wait until we arrived in Grand Cayman and just show up at the hotel for the day rate. She couldn't quote me a price. We were going to have a taxi take us to the Royal Palms/Reef Grill for a day at the beach. I guess I will see what they all want to do. I would love to spend the day at the Marriott. What do you think? I would hate to take a taxi there and not be able to do it. Do you know if the Marriot is close to the Reef Grill? Thanks, Lisa

Lisa, The Reef Grill is about 1/3 of a mile up the beach from the Marriott - a very easy, beautiful walk. I walked that area of the beach a couple of times when we were staying on 7 mile beach in July. I loved to walk down and watch the cruise ships come in! They do have free showers and changing areas at the Reef Grill if you decide not to do the Marriott.

I hope this helps!

Enjoy!
