bjgraham Posted October 24, 2008 #26 Share Posted October 24, 2008 1. rude passengers - especially when they treat the hard working crewbadly 2. art auctions 3. high priced drinks - and overpriced wines! 4. excessive charges for photos that only get thrown away - reduce the prices so people might take home their vacation memories 5. disembarkation delays! Good idea :) . Your # 4 is right on the money. They should at least offer the pics cheaper at the end of every cruise (FOR AT LEAST PAST CRUISERS). It's absolutely rediculous to try & charge 22$ for a picture and then throw it out like garbage. Do they really know how much money they're losing ? Pics at even half the price would be a steal for the cruise company instead of the garbage. I bet they would sell most of them . Just a thought, Carnival are you reading this ? As past cruisers i think we all deserve the cheaper prices. Have a good one. J & B

All the best to you and yours.

momofmeg Posted December 28, 2008 #32 Share Posted December 28, 2008 smoking - anywhereformal shoes computers/laptops cell phones worries Aren't these the things you want to get away from on vacation? Except for smoking and formal shoes - I don't like those at anytime. I can do without more than 2 swimsuits-I simply wash them out in the sink and reuse them. as far as formal shoes, I have found nice shoes that were formal that had kitten or wedge heels-that worked well. I may have not been as "sexy" as those with the stiletto heels-but heck I am over 50-my sexy days are over anyway-I still looked pretty good for an old gal! and I was able to wear my shoes all evening! Cell phones? We use them in port-to check on family-still need those!

jerseytomato Posted May 12, 2009 #40 Share Posted May 12, 2009 1. over the door shoe holder 2. smoking (nothing worse than stepping out onto my balcony only to have my head fill up due to my neighbor's smoke) 3. decorations for the door 4. sewing kit (duck tape can handle most wardrobe malfunctions) 5. obnoxious drunks I haven't experienced what some of you are talking about with them "making" you take pictures. They asked, I could say "no thank you" and that was it. Maybe I have been lucky but I did not feel pressured.

Careful that big paint brush that you used to paint all Canadians as rude could slop on you. By the way, the major cruise lines love Canadians as we form a very significant portion of their business and we love them too! I apologize if your encounter with Canadians has been less than satisfactory. Truth is we can find rude people in all countries. I sure hope that you meet some Canadians that change your mind because like Americans we are a good people and have a wonderful country that too little of you folks have had chance to see and experience. Ok most Canadians read better than me! :) Yes I have to agree with your comments about Canadian Customs. Frankly, I find that on occasion. chachi Posted May 26, 2009 #47 Share Posted May 26, 2009 1. Coke Zero- I have one as soon as I wake up everyday, yet rarely drink pop on a cruise. I crave water & frozen beverages. 2. TV- I live alone, and often keep the tv on just for the noise. I don't miss it on the cruise. 3. The gym- I have good intentions of going, but rarely do on the ship. 4. My pants- I have the whitest legs and refuse to wear shorts at home, but I will on a cruise becasue I know I'll never see these people again. 5. Hair straigtener- It is nice to pull my hair up in a pony during the day and not worry about it!
