N.y Info Needed Hotel Stay Before Cruise On Spitit. La Guardia

GARFIELD

While Times Square is right in the middle of the action..it also is very costly. We're staying at the Courtyard by Marriott, at 410 E. 92nd street (you can get their complete address and toll-free number if you google Marriott). It's still expensive, but significantly less than Times Square.

Cabs from there or Times Square are about the same, and readily available.

We just stayed at the Fairfield Inn at LaGuardia (Astoria) prior to our flight. The price was very good, included shuttle to/from the airport, and included free breakfast. Though not "in" Manhattan, it was walking distance to the subway which will take you right in to the city. They can arrange transportation from the hotel to the pier, or you can do it on your own. I'm partial to public transportation, so you'd see me lugging the bags on to the subway and then taking a taxi once in the city.
