Unused Cabin Credits

I will share my experience! I received OBC from Next cruise booking, Stockholder, T/A on all of my cruise's! I also am a VIP Casino Royal player , in which I receive OBC for. There are times I have $1500.00+ OBC and have not spent it all. I have received as much as $650.00 in credit back to my BofA credit card!

Just off the Mariner 3 weeks ago, and received a Credit to my BofA. The only so called PAID OBC if from my T/A, and the credit I received exceeded the T/A OBC!

Also I have always been charged directly to my BofA for my Next Cruise Bookings. I have NEVER been charged on my seapass card for them. I tried to use up my OBC by purchasing NC Bookings, but they didn't apply the NC Bookings to my Seapass card!

Now is this a RC Policy enforced with all their Ships? Seems to me each Ship does things differently! We spoke with the Matre D on our last cruise in regards to no more fruit punch or lemonade in the Main Dining room, and was told its a Policy on All Ships. Wasn't a policy in June or Feb of 2008 when we cruised on other Ships. I will find out in 5 weeks on the Liberty!

They need to get their ACT TOGETHER! If they implement a Policy, then it should be FLEET WIDE!:D

Definitely agree with this. It seems that policies are written and either not enforced or partially (from ship to ship) and add to it the complete lack of knowing RCI (LAs). It causes messes and confusion. No matter how much OBC I had I never had anything left over. Even on the $1500 OBC you mentioned I would have to pay on top of it (unless its a 3-Nighter then its only 1300). :D

Earlier in the post I stated that I am not sure how this is handled. Is it considered under the paid category or unpaid? Not sure.

What does your BoA agreement say? I don't have that RCCL Visa Point Program. I use AmEx exclusively.

You expect me to read, let alone understand, all the small print in the BofA agreement?;)

It will be interesting to see what happens in three weeks when we are on Radiance.

I am curious as well. Just subscribe to this thread and let us know what happens.

Since you are part of the NOOTS, though I haven't figured out yet whether you are a Naughty NOOTS or not (thought sometimes you do fall into the NN category) :p ................I will be glad to pass on any new information I learn.

I guess that makes me an "TOOT" as I booked a B2B. Two On Oasis of The seas.:D :D

a) it would be TOOOTS

b) I think with a B2B it makes you a SIOOTS (Sucked Into Oasis Of The Seas) or a SOOOTS (Sucker Of Oasis Of The Seas) or a YAOOY (You Are Out Of Your Mind). :D

LMAO

Let's look at this logically.........I book a cruise with an NC, add visa, stock ownership and TA OBC...........

Prior to sailing I have booked and paid in full ship excursions, mystery dinner, specialty restaurants and gratuities.

Do you really think they will keep my ship board credit. after I have made all these prior purchases? Afterall that is what OBC is for.

What if I cancel while on board the mystery dinner? the credit goes to my ship board account, not back to my credit card, in fact if my freind has paid for the mystery in my name and I cancel, I will get the credit.

Regardless of what is printed or has been told by REPS.

My experience in the last 6 months on three different cruises has been a credit back to my CC. One credit was only $1.05.

Dear Naughty,

YAOOY got me to thinking.

I see you are booked on a B2B on Navigator for 5 days in 2010. A D1 cabin works out to be about $376 per day. My D5 cabin is about $348 per day.

Math is not my strong suit, but I'm OK with my choice.

No offense taken.

Dear Naughty,

Let's just drop that. Otherwise we all get used to it.

The "YAOOY" (it actually should have been YAOOYM) was not referring to cost. But it is OK. You don't know me that well just yet. :);)

And back to the original point . . . .:)

Crusenfever will have an experience soon and will report. Shall we look for it in this same thread? or a new one? I will add my experience, but we are gone 28 days on our B2B, so it will be awhile. Let's definitely get to the bottom of this puzzler. As I said, it probably depends on who is manning the desk.
