Tribegirl Posted September 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2008 New to the cruise and all that floats on water thing. Was wondering about the tender that takes you from the ship to Bannister Island. Are life jackets worn?? Long trip?? Safe boats? Thanks!

Was wondering about the tender that takes you from the ship to Bannister Island. Are life jackets worn?? Long trip?? Safe boats? Thanks! I just came back from the Carnival Legend. The tenders were pretty big boats that are very safe. Some even have two decks. I get seasick easily and these boats were fine. They move pretty fast and only rock when the boat is completely still. Bannister Island was only 8 minutes from the vessel. The island is simply beautiful. I wanted to go tubing but i cannot swim so i chose this island. Great decison! BTW, if you want to go into the city, do not get off the tender. It will take you directly to the shore.
