sprite Posted September 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2008 Hi all - what would be good to do with 7 mo and 3 yo in San Juan? Would like to do El Morro but I hear that's too much walking and not stroller friendly. We'll be doing the beach thing at other ports so we'd like to do something different here. Thanks! martinchem Posted September 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2008 Old San Juan is a walking history tour. If you are into fortresses, or shopping there is much offerred.
CruisinFinsUp Posted September 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2008 Honestly, stay on the ship. We've been twice, the first time we went to the fort - kids were 3 & 6. They were tired. Last time, we left them in the kids club and hubby and I walked and walked. Shopping isn't that great, and while its nice to stroll about, its not that nice to want to push a stroller. Last time, we were in port until midnight because they seem to really be pushing the restaurant / nightclub thing as the main attraction. Again, not for kids. It is a lot of walking. Right at the port there is the old town, with lots of shopping in small narrow streets with lots of cars. Not stroller friendly. The tour of the old fort is ok, but lots of walking and lots of very steep ramps going up to the higher levels - nice views, but again, not kid or stroller friendly. Bus to get there. If the 3 year old is toilet trained, offer the kids club to him/her for a few hours, and relax with the baby. Enjoy the pool, or book a spa appointment. You won't miss a thing. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
