Fuel Supplement Decreases?

Now that the cost of oil is hovering around $110 what are the chances Carnival will reduce their $9 pp per day charge? They raised it to $9 when oil was about $145 a barrel. Just curious if they would even consider doing that. My opinion is once people are used to paying for something it will remain there forever. Anybody in the know on this

I'm no economist, but my theory, particularly when it comes to rising prices is what goes up never comes down.

I think the original plan was if fuel prices stabilized for a while at $107 or below, fuel surcharge would be dropped or reduced. They will most likely keep them to make up for all the money lost before they were implemented.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking.... Now that it's hovering just above $105 per barrell, can we get a discount, or an elimination of this charge. Why should someone who cruises today, be punished by the prices of then, when it was booked 3 months ago for example........
