lamanai/new river safari & shopping ?

We have booked the Lamani and new River Safari with NCL for our cruise in December. Just wondering, since it is such a long tour, will there be any time left for a little shopping at the port? I'd love to grab a wood carving or something. Is there shopping at the rest stop during the excursion?

Thanks in advance

We went to Lamanai on a indi excursion and had some time to do a little bit of shopping at the port - plus there are a few little places to purchase things at Lamanai. I could not speak to NCL's tour. You will really enjoy Lamanai - it has been a highlight in all of the places we have traveled.

did this tour, through NCL, last dec. the rest stop have very little shopping..no real booths of vendors. just a few with tables set up and what they were selling wasn't anything like what you are asking about.

at lamanai, they had regular booths...if you run over there while others are eating lunch or restroom break, you may have time to grab something.

they don't give you much time, it's a very long day to fit everything in and give everything time at each site.

there are shops at the docks, you have to walk through the shops to the bus. you won't have time in the morning, they hurry you to the bus. coming back we were back in time for 20 mins of shopping before the last tender.

the best wood carvings were at the "mall" in roatan...just off the docks and metal building with several shops.
