Ms Viviennes Kitchen in Gun Bay serves excellent home cooked meals in the Caribbean style. It is, as the name implies, at the residence of its namesake. You walk up to the back door of her kitchen to place your order. Gun Bay is on the southeast tip of the island, quite far from the docks.

Durty Reids at Pedro Castle (Pedro St James Historic Site) serves excellent barbecue and jerk. His menu proudly, and quite tongue-in-cheek, proclaims "Lousy food, Surly help". It is a favorite for many years of the full spectrum of Cayman society. Due to road contruction his old building was demolished and he moved to the Pedro site about a year ago. You can now take in a part of Cayman history and sample excellent local fare all at one place.

Champion House II at 43 Eastern Avenue is quite close to town. The menu features true Caribbean cooking with a wide variety of selection.

Alfresco on Town Hall Road in West Bay offers a local favorite stop in that part of the island. As a bonus there is a good view of a part of West Bay public beach.
