carmi Posted September 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Hi Fellow fun seekers.1st timer here sailing on 9/28 on the Sensation to Freeport and Nassau. We have a 3 and 10 year old. Just want to inexpensively snorkel(we have our own gear) or just chill at a nice beach.Maybe take in the markets in town. Read somewhere that it might be less expensive to negotiate a shore excursion once in port. How about any tips on areas to snorkel where I could simply take a taxi to and from.Being 4 passengers, I fure it might be cheaper than an organized bus ride. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!!!:) C
dbmiller1956 Posted September 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2008 Unless you are taking a tour through Carnival, Freeport is pretty much a waste. You are not near a beach and what they have is not great. (IMO) Nassau would be a better choice. You can get a taxi at the port to take you over to one of the beaches for a small cost. There you will be able to spend some time snorkeling. The beaches are great there. Deena
