Wind Deck 4

Recommended Posts

We were on the Wind New Year 2002 and although we were on a slightly higher deck, Promenade, we spoke to people who were on lower decks and they had no problem with noise.

There are plenty of lifts and this also is not a problem.

We have just booked to go again on the Wind, January 2005, round the Hawaiian Islands again, as we enjoyed it so much the first time.

as far as the noise, I don't think its a problem, but the elevators on the wind are a problem wherever you stay. They are VERY small and cant handle the number of people on board. After waiting forever the first fiew times on the ship we just took the stairs for the rest of our ten day cruise. Not only was it a pain to wait, there were so many older and disabled folks that couldnt walk the stairs that we really felt we needed to walk. It helps get rid of the calories anyways! Most public rooms are on 9/10/11/12, so plan on climbing some stairs if you can.Kim

One thing about deck 4 is that when you dock, all the tours, etc leave from deck 4. Also, the mid-ship elevators didn't seem to be as busy as the ones aft. It just takes a few tries to figure out what works best for you. And, of course, hiking the stairs is good if you can do it. :)
