Carnival Destiny question??

I am looking at a balcony stateroom guarantee on Destiny. In looking at the deck plans, I am not seeing any balcony rooms that have an obstructed view? It does not matter to us location, we just want a clear view from our balcony. I have also read the warnings about what is above or below you. It would be nice to save a few $$ on the cruise by booking this way. Or are we better off to go ahead and select our cabin ahead of time? We have always selected ahead of time in the past but we were always traveling with others. This time it will just be DH and myself celebrating our honeymoon, 15 years late.

Any thoughts, suggestions, etc are greatly appreciated!

Every time I did a balcony GTY I was pleased with what I was assigned.

When we booked a couple months ago we were going to do a balcony guar. and we were also past Carnival cruisers. The TA stated that we were able to be upgraded two cat. and suggested that we go ahead and pick out our cabin so we did. I have also read about some of the cabins and made sure not to choose one under the disco or casino.

As you know, when you book a guarantee, Carnival will put you where they want. If you're concerned about where you'll end up, pick your cabin. I don't think you'd enjoy the cruise as much if you weren't happy with the cabin.

There are many cabins I would not be happy with, so I always pick my cabin.

I was more concerned with the balcony than what we may or may not be under. Especially since we will be traveling without kids and we will probably be in bar/club and casino.

I am going to see where we end up.

Thanks!:)
