Oceanview Family or Inside Cabin

Recommended Posts

I posted this in the Royal Carribean area but wanted the med cruisers opinion...I have currently booked a Family Oceanview Stateroom on Brilliance of the Seas in June 09 for 12 nights. RCCL just had a price drop in the other categories except the Family Oceanview Staterooms since they are sold out. I was considering getting 2 cabins (2 adults/2 kids in one room - 2 adults in another) both inside cabins for the price savings. It's about 700 dollars cheaper for us since we are paying for 4 people. Will it be horrible in an inside cabin since this particular cruise is so port intensive? We have never cruised before...:o Any insight you could provide would be appreciated.

Use the savings for touring at the ports! A great suggestion I read recently is to turn your TV on to the channel showing the bow of the ship. You can even leave it on all night as a night light, if you want! That way you will have your "window" on what is happening outside.

I am not familiar with a Family Oceanview stateroom on RCCL. Do they have more than one bathroom? If not, you will be so much more pleased having two separate bathrooms for your party of six!!!!

Take the two insides!! it's true that in Royal Caribbean the cabins are very small but for 2 people that are only coming to the cabins to get a bath, get dressed and sleep is more than enough. Yes it is very port intensive and you are going to need the money for more important things. Last year we had an inside cabin(the cheapest way down) for 12 days on the Med. it was perfect! Quiet, dark and close to the gangway (specially good when you are returning to the ship after a long day)
