Hotels in Fort Lauderdale

How is the Embassy Suites? I'm booked there in feb. and also how far from the pier is it. I like to take walks early in the morning when i'm on vacation and just wanted to know if it was in walking distance.

 

 

I haven't stayed at ES but I have been by there. If you are used to walking 2-3 miles a day you can walk to the outside of the port from the ES. It is also a short walk to the Harbour Shops located behind the hotel where you can find restaurants, a Total Wine store and a Publix supermarket. You can also walk down 17th street to find a Walgreens and several restaurants as well.

DH & I will be staying in Orlando for a few day's, pre cruise, due to the possibility of the weather not being warm enough to go "beaching".

 

We did book at the Rennasaince in Fort Lauderdale, at a great rate due my husband's associate discount. The hotel is litterally 5 minutes away from the port.
