Carnival Past Guest cruise giveaways

Does anyone remember Carnival giving away a cruise at their past guest parties? I seem to recall this happening in the past. I recently returned from a 7 day Carnival cruise. Carnival is now selling raffle tickets at their return guest party for a free cruise.

 

Any insight on this?

I too recently returned from a 7-day adventure in the W. Caribbean. It was on the Conquest from Galveston (now pretty wet). I wasn't aware of such a raffal and don't think they noticed we were repeat cruisers w/ CL. My guess is they will give less and less away as they search for margins. I guess we can work towards VIP and Platinum status (names?).

I remember when past guest used to get some great cooktails andit was like a real party instead of going in and sitting down somewhere. They need to work on making the past guest party more special, with music and dancing in one of the lounges.

 

The free cruise, everyone on the ship is given a questionair and before you debark they pull from all those turned in for the free cruise.
