wrp96 Posted September 17, 2008 #26 Share Posted September 17, 2008 I've found tons of stuff about Carnival, but nothing on what Royal Caribbean is doing. Anyone know???? Since RCCL doesn't have a ship scheduled to sail from Galveston until December at the earliest, I would suspect they will take more time and be a lot more deliberate in their decision making than Carnival has. newgrandma Posted September 17, 2008 #27 Share Posted September 17, 2008 There is a website on the new terminal, and parking is quite adequate. It is operated by the port authority, and price is $7 per day, and you have to pay cash or check, they don't take credit cards. I was told it would be $49 for the week. Here are some links that I found helpful... http://www.aaakansas.com/?zip=67201 Use the address 12619 Port Road, Seabrook, Tx 77586 gets you close to the terminal http://www.portofhouston.com/cruiseinfo/cruiseinfo.html http://cruisetip.tpkeller.com/maps/p...hp?mapid=txhou
cruisenewbie1 Posted September 17, 2008 #28 Share Posted September 17, 2008 Where did you find that information out about the pricing. I can't find it on the port website for the new location.
newgrandma Posted September 17, 2008 #29 Share Posted September 17, 2008 Well, I can't rightly remember, as I have been back and forth between the carnival message boards and the cc message boards. I read it someplace, tho, cause it stuck in my head I need to be sure to take $50 CASH to pay! As far as the actual leaving this weekend....I believe that the deal to move there was struck based on the port being ready by Saturday. I don't think Carnival would be moving ships just to find they won't be able to go. And to have a 100% cancellation penalty...somebody at Carnival knows what's going on!
