luvcruisin66 Posted September 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2008 I am wondering when the "penalty" phase is and how many OBC's anyone has gotten during this time? I talked to a supervisor today who said that you can only get one OBC during the penalty phase. Does anyone have any experience different than that? Thx....... hdavidson Posted September 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2008 I have had my cruise paid for in full for well over a month... Having said that, I have received one upgrade and 2 additional OBC since then. Along with my stock, OBC from stock and my miles on my CC, this cruise has paid for itself...:D
luvcruisin66 Posted September 18, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Anyone one else?????? Anyone get more than one OBC during penalty phase?
sdirector77 Posted September 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2008 I think it all depends on who you speak to. My suggestion would be to call, play stupid, explain a price drop and ask for a OBC. I have read many have received more than one and most go unchallenged.
chiarigirl Posted September 18, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2008 My cruise is 39 days out, the fare went down by $80. When i call what do i tell them, just that the rate has dropped and i would like an onboard credit. Also my cruise was booked through a travel agent does that make any difference? candigirl41 Posted September 18, 2008 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2008 If you booked through a TA then you will have to go through them to get the obc. Carnival will not help you when you are booked through a TA. Candi

REAGS Posted September 18, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Typically when do the onboard credits start "rolling in?" I am 58 days out and don't see where our cruise has gone down in price at all in fact it has gone up. Let me also say that I am new at this so I may not be looking in the right places. Do the fares typically go down closer to the sail date?
