michelle_atkinson Posted September 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2008 We'll be in Cozumel Oct 28 and wanted to get to the Fury Catamaran. (We aren't using Carnival's excursion) Thought it would help if I knew where The Holiday docks. Thanks.
Cruzman Posted September 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Decisions regarding where ships will berth in Coz are often made only a week ahead of time. Cozumelinsider usually posts this info weekly on their website.
Oglaladiver Posted September 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2008 Having spent quite a bit of time in Coz (and just came back today :( ), which pier you are at doesnt really matter. They are both pretty close to each other and you can always just grab a taxi instead of walking.

LHP Posted September 19, 2008 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2008 According to the Carnival officials...the Puerto Maya dock will be operational by October 16th. (That is the old Carnival pier that was destroyed by Wilma) So that is most likely where you will be docking....just like the good ole' days. Personally I will miss docking at Punta Langosta (across from CarlosNCharlies) it was always such a great show to watch the drunks run for the ship!!! leeleent Posted September 19, 2008 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2008 You also might be tendering Why do you think the holiday tenders at Cozumel? I never heard of any ships having to tender there, or has something happened that i don't know about?
IndyGirl Posted September 19, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Why do you think the holiday tenders at Cozumel? I never heard of any ships having to tender there, or has something happened that i don't know about? Sure any number of ships can/have tendered in Coz. Sometime there are MANY ships in port, on the same day!
yst347 Posted September 19, 2008 #9 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Hurricane Wilma destroyed the Puerta Maya pier three years ago. Since that time some ships have had to tender on the busiest port days due to lack of space at the two remaining piers. The Puerta Maya pier is scheduled to finally re-open November 1'st so the tender issue should largely go away at that time.
jetskier Posted September 19, 2008 #10 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Once the Puerta Maya pier opens, Cozumel will be able to dock 6 ships. Anything above that will have to tender. There have been as many as 9-10 ships in port during the winter months as cruiselines reposition further south. Dave
