I've never had any problems with anything on my door. Only requirement...whatever you use can't danage the paint

As for placing it on the door, try the blue painters tape. It's not supposed to damage the paint or leave a sticky residue.

That sign is more inclusive to RCCL...they do the "Meet & Mingle" I do a lot of CC group cruises and our group leads create their own door signs with the Cruise Critic disclaimer.

The magnetic paper for the door signs did not work on the Fantasy's door. I used scotch tape.

I used poster putty to put my sign on our door. We also decorated for days at port. I have seen post it notes put by the door. It is fun to see what notes are left. We were on the Valor on 9/11 so I put up ar red/white/blue ribbon.

I did ours on photograph paper. It's heavier than regular paper. I used magnetic strips on the back of it.

Official "Meet and Mingle" is only on Royal Caribbean. You have to arrange a meeting place on your own for a Carnival cruise. Just post a message about your cruise and get a group of fellow cruisers together. Sometimes they work out OK and other times they don't.
