Can you tell me what you do when you first get on the ship to nowhere. We are leaving on the NCL Spirit ,Sat.Oct.4th from NYC. Do you make dinner reservations? Are all the restaurants opened? Does it get really croweded on these cruises. Any suggestions on how to schedule our time on this very short cruise.

Just did this for the second time Sat. you can get on at 11:30 all rest. are open, spa's are open, you have to be part of the Quest show......very funny. Food this week was very good, casino sucks....unfriendly and high min.

If sunny just sit by the pool, till under the bridge, decide if you are going to "Windows Rest. " or a specialty Rest and make resv. in the lobby when you get on.

Most important have fun.

I agree with Medic...GET ON EARLY....we saw so many people still boarding at 3:30. enjoy the DAY part of the 1 NITER too...by 3:30 we'd already had lunch at Windows, a spa treatment (massage), made dinner reservations (do this FIRST when you board), checked out much of the ship and had a few drinks with our favorite bartender ED at Champagne Charlie's (tell him Marla & Jorge said hello)..

If you get to the pier between 9:30 and 10:30 you can park close by (we actually saw our car from our OV room (8036), you DON"T have a line when you check in -it was a breeze...and then you sit and wait until 11:30 BUT you can people watch..drink juice and cookiee/cake provided by NCL, and once you board in the FIRST couple of groups..you are now on board enjoying the full part of the day.....

have fun on the 1 niter....I am actually trying to get on for the 10/4 sailing...

My best friend and I are flying up from FLL to be on the 1 nighter on Oct 4 also. I can't wait. This will be my first visit to NYC, and our first time on an NCL cruise.

This will be fun. Now that I know we can start boarding at 11:30, I will make sure we are there.

Hi Annie,

I hope you are coming up to NYC for more then just the one night cruise, since you live in FL and can have so many other options to cruise and not pay airfare:) :D

my dh and I will be on this for 2 years in a row now, this will be our 2nd anniversary, it is great to just get on the ship early, enjoy the full day. last year the weather was so nice we could even go in the pool. not going to be so warm this year but definitely going to be a nice day. last year we really enjoyed the bar that has a jukebox and right now i can't think of the name of it.

if you plan on buying liquior and cigarettes there will definitely be a line once it opens and they do run out so make sure you are there when we get out far enough for the stores to be open.

see you all then!

Actually, we got the flights for a really great price with Spirit Airlines $105 round trip per person. We are coming up friday afternoon, got a great TA rate at the Hyatt on the Hudson for the night, and we are going to get in and have fun that night.

On Saturday we plan to explore NYC around the west side, Central Park, Times Square and such, if we don't get to Times Square Friday night.

Sunday we are going to Canal Street, and all the picture spots out that way, and then fly home. Our flight doesn't leave until 9 out of LGA, and I know we shoudl be there by 7, so we have to leave out of the WTC station by 5. That will still be a full day.

i have never been to NYC, and my friend grew up there, and hasn't been back in years.

yes, we do have alot of cruise options down here in FL, but you can only go to Nassau so many times before you might as well make it a cruise to nowhere because you don't even get off the ship there either. SO, for less than what that would cost, we are doing a whole weekend in NYC.
