*My Shark Encounter At Cococay, Caught On Tape!!!

Has anyone ever seen reef sharks at Cococay, Bahamas?

This was our 1st stop on our cruise onboard Royal Caribbean's Majesty Of The Seas. This was taken completely by chance!

 

I left Joel at the beach bar & headed towards the water to capture the surrounding beauty. Little did I know, I wasn't ALONE in the water! This was the 2nd shark that came right up to me that day but this was much bigger! I only followed it because I was very brave after a couple Pina Coladas! I am TERRIFIED of sharks so this was a moment I'll NEVER forget! Other beach goers (& their small kids) got in on the chase too! It was the best footage I've ever shot! Hope u enjoy it too! P.S. Thank God he wasn't hungry! :p

 

It was an experience I'll NEVER forget!

 

Just wanted to share my story & ask if anyone ever had any shark encounters while on vacation too?:D

Wow! What an experience. I have been to Coco Cay four times and have never seen a shark. I'm glad to know they are there. Thanks for posting the video here.

It truly was unbelievable! Hope I never get that close to any ocean predator ever again! lol!:p

 

Got the video camera ready for our next trip!

Inside I was really freaking out! :eek:

U can hear it in my voice though.

 

That was the second shark that passed right next to my leg that day so watch out!!!!

 

 

But I don't think they attack unless provoked, if that makes u feel better.

 

Good luck & make sure to have your video camera ready!
