clleste Posted September 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2008 We're taking an AK southbound and have a starboard rear hump balcony booked. How is the location of this balcony? I understand that you may only be able to see on the back side of the hump and that forward viewing would be obstructed. Which is better? Starboard rear hump or portside regular balcony? No other hump rooms are available as of now.

mii Posted September 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2008 I always sail princess but I can help you with what side. When you go into Glacier Bay the portside is where when they bring on the national park Service people they do all of their narration while going into the bay. Now with that said they do turn around at the end of the bay so that going out the starboard side can see everything but there will be no narration. I have been there and much prefer the portside but to get the full affect of the bay pleasse go to the upper decks and all around the ship because the views are fantastic. Going into the Inside passage between the towns both sides have views. So hope this helps some. marilyn
