drcbelle Posted October 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2008 Hi All- We are sailing on the Crown in one week (yea!) for a seven day cruise. My understanding is that there will be two formal nights. My question is does anyone know or have any idea what special food they serve on formal night? Since we are flying to the cruise port we are trying to keep the luggage to a minimum...so we are trying to decide if we should skip the formal wear. I know one night is usually lobster which we can both do without but will we be missing anything big if we just do the buffet or room service on the formal nights? Thanks. tvaud Posted October 5, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2008 You will find things like lobster, pheasant and Beef Wellington, among others, on one of the formal night menus. If you want to skip the formal evenings, but still want a special meal, consider the Ultimate Balcony Dinner. You are served a special multi course meal on your balcony. It is very intimate and special. PS: If you still want to do formal night, but are worried about luggage limitations, try renting formalwear through the Princess website. It will be in your cabin waiting for you and you just leave it there when you are done with it. They have formalwear for both men and women. It's painless.:)
Sandytoes Posted October 5, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2008 Your not missing much if you want to skip Formal nite. However, it adds to whole cruise experience getting dressed up for dinner. Being a 7 day cruise has 2 formal nites you can pack for one night just to try it. Eliminating the extra luggage weight. Hi All- We are sailing on the Crown in one week (yea!) for a seven day cruise.
