Anyone been to Progresso lately?Recommendation Needed!

Anyone been lately? We are going in May 09 on a Senior Trip (HS, not elderly :p ). My son will be among the seniors. There will be about 20 kids and 20 moms. They want to "chill" on the beach and, of course, drink beer. Where would you suggest we go? I know that there are many bars lining the beach. Any special suggestions? Thanks!

Most are like restaurants instead of bars. this is authentic Mexico. Not Cancun or Cozumel at all. Nothing like Carlos & Charlies, Senor Frogs, etc.

Anywhere along the beach would probably be fine. As long as there's cold beer, sun, and water I'm sure they'll have fun! Corona beach is right there too. Buddy's is good too. I know it's more authenic but when you pay big bucks to go on VACATION- most people want a touristy spot- if they didn't none of the tourist places would have people- it's what people pay for.
