I will be taking the jewel on from December 12-21 and I would like to know anything and everything about the ship to the service. Also, I will be sailing at Christmas time and wanted to know what kinds of Christmas =stuff will take place.

Sorry- forgot half my posting

the ship was clean and beautiful. the children's program ws wonderful- as they all seem to be. We enjoyed the casino, the shows, thefood was good. Butler was awesome. concierge so-so, room stewards attentive. The free-style dining concept is great- you never know when you might be a little over-done from the sun or jsut not feeling like going to dinner at 6. It seems like a much smaller ship than it is, we made lots of new friends and the wait staff was attentive and cinsiderate.

CAgneys and teppanyaki well worth the extra $$.

The library was wll stocked. the front desk didn't complain when I lost my stateroom key about 14 times

Like most ships, there are constant announcements for bingo and special things being sold, but I find that part of the charm. There are many little places to sneak away and relax in solitude, especially if you are in a CV/GV.

My only complaint was that on NEwe Years Eve they didn't have enough hats and horns to go around! We booked another crusie onboard and another coming in Decmber on the Pearl

Enjoy yor pre-holiday cruise!

Kathy

We are on the same cruise as you this year...we actually did the Jewel over Christmas last year. There were decorations (trees lights etc) The kids crew did a play where the kids sang traditional Christmas songs, there was turkey & ham offered at dinner. There was Christmas music being played on the piano, it was all done nicely, not over the top or tacky.
