help! fll (late night) to pom next day

I am so confused, so I think I will reask this. We arrive FLL 11/13,

late around 9:00pm, Should we stay near Fll, using a hotel that provides

free shuttle from the airport. Then purchase transportation the next morning to POM? Where should be stay? There are 5 adult females traveling, so any suggestions is most welcome.

Personally, for 5 people, I think the simplest and most cost-effective thing to do would be rent a car when you arrive at FLL, and then return in Miami the next day. That way, you have much more flexibility in terms of where you stay for the night, and you don't have to worry about shuttling to Miami the next day. I believe there's a couple of agencies near the POM which have a free shuttle to the port (Avis maybe?), or maybe check at MIA locations for car rental companies with shuttle service (we did this years ago with Hertz, not sure if they still have their shuttle). There are quite a few threads dealing with car rentals, a search would probably turn up the info you need.
