Horseback riding/shipwrecks?

We are a family of 4 including 2 kids 8&9.

We are thinking of doing the Nativeway Rays,Reef and Rum point tour. Afterwards we were going to hang around the port area. My kids are interested in the shipwrecks and I know there are several within walking distance. Can we rent snorkel gear or do we need to buy some before we travel (if I can find it this time of year!)

I guess my big question is how safe is doing this? We don't want to be in super deep water or tooo far from shore. My kids don't get the chance to swim that often and aren't real strong swimmers. How bouyant are the snorkel vests?

They are also interested in the beach horseback riding..I haven't noticed this offered in Grand Caymans..anyone know if it's an option at this port?

Thanks!
