Kayaking Excursion at CocoCay

Just wondering if anyone has done the kayaking excursion at CocoCay? If so, how much time do you actually get to spend in the water?... see any wildlife?

Yes, I have done this once and watched it another time. My time wasn't the best because the weather was bad with three foot waves. Couldn't see much and my wife and I just tried to stay in the boat. We didn't and neither did most people. However, I enjoyed it even through all that. A year later we went back and wished we'd signed up. Beautiful day and they went out about 5 times further than we did and I heard about rays, starfish, and a possible shark jetting away because a kayaker had tried to get to close to fast and made quite a lot of paddle noise. Sorry about the length but I hope this helps. Weather is the factor as always.

Thanks for the info! I'm wondering if there's a way to sign up for the kayaks on the actual island..hmm, it'd be nice to wait and just see how the weather looks

There is a kayak shack beside the water where the kayaks and life vests and paddles are stored and the kayak guides hang out. I'm certain you can sign up there if you are unable to do so on the ship. I'm sure they would be very happy to have your business if the kayak tours are not already filled up.
