The_Answer_Is_42 Posted October 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2008 Anyone have them? I'm just looking for something to help revive the memory of cruises past. :o I'm gonna get some of these and make myself a playlist on my iPod... I'm kinda depressed that the Looters cruise ended. For me: Ballad of sad young men (great closer for the night) Benny and the Jets/Rocket Man/Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting Piano Man (duh) The Wild Rover American Pie Take it easy Moar? falkcor Posted October 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2008 some of the favorites from the destiny piano bar about 2 weeks ago were hotel california, candle in the wind, brown eyed girl, layla, sweet caroline, leaving on a jet plane, nightengale, and we are the champions. Eeeeeenteresting! thanks :) believe it or not! martin kaye on the destiny is one talented dude. he did actually even perform a short rendition of bohemian rhapsody, but refused to perform it in full because he said it made him sound like a woman. lol. falkcor Posted October 15, 2008 #9 Share Posted October 15, 2008 I adore Sweet Caroline .... Joanne so did everybody else! i highly recommend this one for the piano bar - almost everybody knows the words, and it's real easy to learn on the fly otherwise. this is one of the songs that the player would pit the ladies against the gents (we always won, btw). good times. Just to hear them say... Welcome to the hotel california Such a lovely place Such a lovely face They livin’ it up at the hotel california What a nice surprise, bring your alibis (this verse wrong) ... in effect, the chorus. ;) fun song for the piano bar. The_Answer_Is_42 Posted October 15, 2008 Author #12 Share Posted October 15, 2008 Sweet Caroline? I'm not a fan of Neil Diamond.... Hell, I'll sing it though. Hotel California is kinda trippy, it's very close to being a Led Zeppelin song when you get to the last bit. :D
IHATESNOW Posted October 15, 2008 #13 Share Posted October 15, 2008 Bohemian Rhapsody! LMAO!!! I was searching for the right one to list here and you nailed it.:D The amount of times that I can handle sweet caroline and the piano man is directly proportionate to how drunk I am! mjl1960 Posted October 15, 2008 #14 Share Posted October 15, 2008 Hotel California...the last part, "You can check out, but you can never leave" is the part that I guess I never really thought about until recently...lol. Was talking about it with my daugher, discussing if it was heaven or hell...guess it is up to the listener...
mrsfuzzmo Posted October 15, 2008 #15 Share Posted October 15, 2008 I've always enjoyed Oh-Blah-Dee and the Boxer at piano bars. Hope I can tip well enough to get them played on the Liberty!
