buzymom3 Posted October 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Hi Everyone I booked our family of 6 on the March 22nd sailing of Freedom. My mom is currently in 3620. But I just saw that cabin 3332 opened up and it is right across from the elevator. She has a tough time walking a lot and I thought that maybe it would be good for her to be that close to the elevators...but then I was worried about the noise from people getting off and on. What do you think? Would switching be a good idea? j we are in cabin 6566 and thought that it would be easy for the kids to run up and down the stairs between the cabins. negc Posted October 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2008 The number of people who will be getting on or off the elevators on Deck 3 will be pretty much limited to guests with staterooms on that deck and unless they are a wild party bunch, you should hear very little noise if your stateroom is anywhere near the elevators. The elevators are really not quite as close to the staterooms as they appear on the deck plans and we have had cabins on any number of RCI ships that were close to the elevators and have never had a noise problem. On the Freedom, I might be more concerned that music and noise from the Vault (the disco) could be more bothersome.
