posiedon75 Posted October 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2008 I was wondering if there is an advantage/disadvantage as to which side of the ship to stay on. Any opinion is appreciated.
Sirwinston Posted October 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2008 Most of the time does not matter. Cool stuff will go by both sides of the ship. cool name BTW Tom in Long Beach
travelntreats Posted October 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 18, 2008 If you are travelling with another couple or family... each of you book your stateroom on different sides of the ship....if you have balconies, this is even better in case something is going on on the other side, you can go visit your neighbor friends across the hall to see what is happeneing ! BooBooMonkey Posted October 18, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 18, 2008 Dang Jessemon! You beat me to it! I was going to say the "dry" side...lol Seriously, it does not matter anymore from what I have seen. Port (left) side used to be the side that was docked. However, it really depends these days on many different factors, such as how many other ships are in port, etc. You will enjoy your cruise the same no matter which side you are on! :D
LHP Posted October 18, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 18, 2008 If you don't smoke and you have a balcony, then I recommend you book the PORT side... only because the staff and crew take their smoke breaks outdoors on the Starboard side. Other than that...I can't think of any reason to favor one side over the other.
posiedon75 Posted October 18, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted October 18, 2008 Thanks for all the response. Our family will be going on a cruise to Mexico in Dec. on the Spirit. We are booked in category 5A(Main Deck, room #2125 to be exact). Anybody stayed on this deck before? If so, how is it? Will we feel a lot of rocking since it is somewhat towards the front of the ship? Thanks.
