drmed Posted October 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2008 HELP:o My new husband and I are planning a vow renewal with our 4 children & numerous relatives. We are cruising to Key West, Freeport & Nassau. Any recommendations for the "perfect" site between the three ports? I.. I mean we'd love a beach wedding. Many Thanks! Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted October 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2008 I have seen quite a few couples having their wedding pictures taken at Fort Zacary Taylor State Park on or near the beach. I haven't actually witnessed a wedding there, but it is a lovely setting. I don't know who you can see to make arrangements for a beach wedding and I don't know if there are any restrcitions or fees. I do know there is a price per person to enter the park. There is also a small pergola inside the Butterfly Conservatory. Some people there told us it is used for weddings, but I don't know of they have speacial hours. I don't know if you can use it during regualr hours, but it is a lovely setting. We took a sunset cruise on the Western Union a few years back and a couple got married there during the cruise. The ship's captain presided over the ceremony. The captain said he does many weddings during the cruises on Western Union. I don't know of the ship is back in service, but there are some other tall ships that do daytime and sunset and starlight cruises.
