Does anyone know how far, and how much a taxi would be to the court house?

 

We are thinking about taking a ferry to St John and getting married on one of the beaches there as they are more secluded. However I'm not sure how to plan as I dont know how far the Court House is. We would need to go there first thing to pick up our marriage license and then head over to Red Hook, and ferry to the island.

 

Any help would be appriciated.

The court house is just before you get to town if you're coming from Havensight, or just after town if you're coming from the airport. There's a parking lot across the street, but it gets full quickly, so parking can sometimes be a problem.

From Havensight to the Court House is maybe a mile. A taxi will be $4 pp, ow.

Court House to Red Hook will be $10 pp, ow and takes about 20-25 minutes in low traffic; with traffic longer.
