Embarkation Time from Cunard - Nov 2008 QV

We just got our documents for the Nov 5th Cruise on the QV. It mentions that we are scheduled for embarkation at 1pm. Is that a suggestion or do I need to call Cunard to change the time. We've scheduled a private tour of Rome when we arrive at the airport and probably won't get to the ship until 5 or 6.

VAtraveler2, what is your departure date? if it is 29 Nov the ship sails at 2200 hours and boarding will be complete by 2100 hours, so if it is this sailing you will bre OK to board when you arrive in Civi.

We're sailing on Nov 5th. I believe the ship sails at 10pm. I was just wondering about the time they said to check in.

We are on the same trip and we are not planning to arrive before 4pm. My only concern was the lifeboat drill. I wonder what time it will be?
