2iowacruisers Posted October 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2008 This question may have been answered previously but I got a time-out error when trying to search so I apologize if this a duplicate question. Since this is the first cruise my wife and I are taking, it's also the first time we have dealt with passports. When filling out the Fun Pass with the passport info, it asks for the city of issuance. Now, is that the city where we applied for the passport or is it some other city? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

There were no questions about it at the terminal! Hope that helps--you're going to have a blast! We just did our first cruise last month and are going again next month! :D
Yemaya Posted October 20, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2008 On my passport it actually says city of issuance - ........ I am Canadian though so maybe it is different in other countries.
Kerry&LuAnn Posted October 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2008 The city of issuance should be listed on your passport. We applied for ours in Minnesota, but the city of issuance listed on our passports is Seattle.
rnnw62 Posted October 20, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2008 I put the city the passport was issued in that's listed on the passport itself. It should be to the right of your date of issue.
2iowacruisers Posted October 20, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted October 20, 2008 Unless I am totally blind, which I may be, I don't see a city of issuance. To the right of the date, it just says United States Department of State so I just think I will put the city where we applied. Thanks for everyones responses! S&GIn Posted October 20, 2008 #7 Share Posted October 20, 2008 I have a newer passport also. The newer ones do not have a city of issuance anymore. They just have the issuing authority, which is the United States Department of State. That is what I used for my Funpass registration.
poochierebelbear Posted October 20, 2008 #8 Share Posted October 20, 2008 I just got my passport back last week and it also said US Dept of State. I couldn't find a city of issuance anywhere. I guess I'll go back and just put that. I don't know what city issued it. Maybe I should look on the envelop and see where it came from.
