Mid October is out because they have a Fall Break in my area. The cruiselines know it as the prices for that sailing was $200 higher than the week before and after.

We need a break because we have been in school since August 8th!!!!

so have we :) But we get two weeks at Christmas,,,,so that's probably why our kids don't get October off,,,

it's getting to the point where there is not going to BE a cheap time to cruise, because SOMEWHERE there's gonna be kids OFF school:( Holly

We're cruisin on NYE and guess what...were bringing a kid to add to the hundreds that will be on board.

Its our first NYE cruise and I have heard its a great place to ring in the new year.

Have fun on your cruise and drink lots of bubbly!:D

I teach preschool. Yep some of them are little monsters..but thats the parents fault, not the childs. You only learn what you are taught is acceptable. Not being mean, its just true.

My children know when they go somewhere HOW TO ACT.

I was booking our Triumph cruise and refused to pay 2000 more for the same cruise at Christmas so I'm taking my kids out of school for the week of Dec 7-14. I hope the parents of the other children on board will make sure their kids are listening and following the rules. I am all for kids having fun but when they are OBNOXIOUS and really ANNOYING then it really inhibits you enjoying your trip.

Thank you ,that is what I was going to say. My son knows how to behave himself. It's simple ,be a bad boy and you don't get to cruise with us again. For the most part kids onlt misbehave because the parents allow it.

The most annoying passengers I've ever encountered were usually liquored up, loud, obnoxious and 40-something.

I hope your preconceived notions about children won't stop you from enjoying your cruise.

We have encountered annoying adult passengers and annoying child passengers.

And our informed by experience observation is that per capita annoying behavior is much higher among the total youth passenger population as compared tot he total adult passenger population.

Among adult passengers, our informed by experience observation is that the per capita obnoxious drunken behavior among adults is higher in the 20-30 year-old passenger population, not the 40-something or up.

Additionally, my informed by experience observation is that per capita defensive, deflecting and projecting behavior regarding the issue of children on cruise ships is much higher among those who have children and take them on cruises.

These are not "preconceived notions." These are observations from a fairly large sampling! I'll stand by them as being as accurate as Gallup's polls! *LOL*
