Diving at Champagne Reef in Dominica

The champagne reef is a good shallow dive. I did it as a second dive of a two tank dive. There isn't a lot there. With a good guide they will show you were there are strong jets of warm air coming out. There is a place you can lay down in and it is REALLY warm. Once you leave it however you get chilled. So do it near the end of the dive. ;)

If you are only doing one dive, I'd pick something better. Maybe L' Abym.

I've heard that hurricane Omar has caused damage at the southern tip of the island, around this dive site. One of the shore excursions for divers has been cancelled on our cruise (Nov 08). Evidently, the roads are impassable.

I'd get some up-to-date info on this before you book. A trip on a boat, rather than overland might be an idea
