czarinahil Posted November 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2004 So my husband and I are really looking forward to our 2/11/05 sailing inTahiti but we were unable to get our preferred late seating for dinner which leaves me with some questions. Dinner is at 6, right? Then you go to the show after dinner, yes? Does the late seating dinner see their show before they eat (while the early seating is eating)? I am a little concerned about what the impact the early seating will have on our days. Also, if anybody knows were one can find the Princess Patters for this cruise posted that would be great. Thanks, Hilary
rberne1 Posted November 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2004 Hello: We had early seating and you're right. Dinner at 6 and then the shows. I don't remember about the late seating though. I think they see the show after their dinner as well. I believe a 10:00 show ?? The early seating worked out well. For the most part, when in port you need to be back on the ship by 4:30. The ship leaves most ports by 5:00. (other than Raitea and Bora Bora where you spend the night). I'm sure other more recent cruisers will help here as well. Can't help you with the Patters. Kept mine for a while, but now that we're rebooked to cruise the TP again, I recently tossed them. Your going to love this cruise. We did and are going to cruise the TP again next May. Happy Cruzin! :D
BJS Posted November 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2004 Late seating had most of the shows following their dinner. We also had early and managed just fine - preferred this time.
Tahitian Princess Posted November 3, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2004 Some of the shows for late seating, were before dinner. I can't remember exactly how many.
Bob & Barb Posted November 3, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2004 We had early seating and loved it. Never had pressure to get to dinner and we comfortably saw all of the shows and still had time for fun in the casino and elsewhere and to bed in time to get enough sleep to really enjoy the next FULL day. It was the best cruise we have ever sailed and can't wait to do it again in 2006 (back to back this time). :) ;) :) Bob & Barb
spindrift Posted November 3, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2004 I just looked at my Princess Patters, and the shows were at 8:15 and then again at 10:15. Actually, we liked the early seating. We had cocktails while dressing for dinner, had dinner, went to a show, and then had time to spare before bed. The dinner is not so heavy when you eat earlier even tho we usually eat a bit later. donna5 Posted November 3, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 3, 2004 czarinahil Last year we did a back to back and the first week we had 4 sea days and not real long time in ports so we did 6PM and there was never a line to get in. People just strolled in, cause they weren't that hungry yet. The next one we did late seating and there was always a long line to get in and it took longer to get out. By this time everyone is real hungry and there aren't a whole lot of dinning options left. If eating late and you like to get to the shows early, I would sit at a smaller table and not a big one. That's my two cents worth.
