seafood Posted October 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2008 Looking for a pre-cruise place to stay in Fort Lauderdale in March 2009, and pretty much have it narrowed down to the Comfort Suites Fort Lauderdale West in Davie or the Marriott Springhill Suites in Dania Beach. Has anyone stayed at either of this hotels and, if so, which would you choose and why, or would you recommend somewhere else that's not too expensive (under $200)? Thanks in advance for any and all responses.
seafood Posted October 27, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted October 27, 2008 I forgot to add that the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Airport North is also a consideration. :)
bills blasters Posted October 27, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2008 We stayed at the Springhill Suites. We were happy with it. It is a good location if you do not have a car. There are many places to eat in the shopping area across the street. There is also a Burger King just across the parking lot. The rooms were quite big. Our room had a desk, micro, fridge, and sofa in one area. Then a little part divider and on the other side of that the bed and tv. We did not use the pool, but saw lots of people using it. It was a cool day, so it must have been heated. There is a little shop area off the desk with lots of snacks and stuff to make in the micro. The breakfast was good, but we did notice that later in the a.m. it was very full and not enough room for everyone to sit and eat. We went early so it was not a problem. Hope that helps. paintchip8 Posted October 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2008 I echo what Bills blaster said. We stayed at Spring hill last January and loved it. I posted pics and review on tripadvisor.com. Lots of food places, Hollywood Ale house is great, Dave and Busters, TGI Fridays, and a KMart for things you forgot to pack.
