hawt1 Posted October 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2008 Can anyone offer advice on who to contact if we have 24 people in our group and want to do some sort of catamaran trip. Or we could go a a couple of daysailboats but would not want to have four boats taking us all around. Would also prefer not to have to taxi to Redhook but will do so if needed. Thanks. The Islander Posted October 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2008 If you don't want to head out to Red Hook then you could get a charter from the southside (where the cruise ships dock) however the destination will be Buck Island/Turtle Cove and perhaps around Water Island. If you wanted to head to St. John then those charters pretty much all leave from the east end of St. Thomas, mostly Red Hook. There are larger boats that can accomodate your group all together; you'd likely take up the whole boat in some cases. Or you can do tandem sails with two boats that can acommodate 14-18 passengers each. If you took 6 packs then it would require 4 boats to accomodate your group. Try pulling up a list of St. Thomas daysails, try http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0geu.QafAdJh2wBeOlXNyoA?p=st.+thomas+activities+%2B+daysails&fr=yfp-t-501&ei=UTF-8 and contact the ones that can accomodate larger groups. --Islander
