travelgirl04 Posted October 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2008 Thinking about trying the cave tubing-what shoes do those of you who went wear? DH and I dont have water shoes and dont plan on buying any. Any footwear suggestions? Thanks!
lanette71 Posted October 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2008 I bought a pair of Teva sandals (closed toe) specifically for this excursion. I'm hoping they work OK. I have had a hard time breaking them in, though. The heel still rubs.
travelntreats Posted October 28, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2008 A pair of tennis shoes you can afford to get muddy will work or they do rent water shoes at the park.
Eliot Ness Posted October 28, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2008 I saw people wearing Teva type sandals and old tennis shoes that did just fine. I know you said you don't plan on buying water shoes but I bought a cheap pair of water shoes at Wal-Mart for about $5 and they have been one of the best investments I have made. Light weight, look like tennis shoes, comfortable, protects your feet from rocky beaches, and they are easy to rinse out and clean when you get back to the ship. If I remember correctly some people that wear old tennis shoes just leave them at the park for the locals.
