Milo's Dad Posted October 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2008 No, I didn't lose my job, and no, I'm not making less money. I see this as a time to MAKE money. I have some cash and have been picking up some bargains in the stock market.
momofmeg Posted December 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2008 We are okay so far. We did get a great price for a cruise which I blame on the economy. So I can't complain YET.
EPFudbutter Posted December 24, 2008 #4 Share Posted December 24, 2008 A lot of folks have been financially damaged in such a manner as there will be no recovery, hence a complete dimishment in life style ... for life. The hard part is seeing ads for things that you would have been interested in before but will no longer be able to enjoy (travel, cars, restaurants, etc). Solice in knowing that these are not necessities and some folks are in even worse shape and are losing their homes doesn't help much. The really hard part is sleeping at night knowing that if you had only done such and such before this and that event, you'd still be OK. The message here is that those of you who are not effected need to be sensitive to those who have gotten hurt. Most folks are too proud to admit dire straights. Get down on your knees and thank your lucky stars that this does not describe you.
