Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus Hotel/Day Pass?

Hi,

Has anyone gone to this hotel for the day whilst in D.R? I believe it is about half an hour from the port of La Romana. Are taxis easy to come by? Not sure what else to do in this port. The only other option is a Princess tour to Catalina Island.

I went to Iberostar in 2-08, it was WONDERFUL!!!! I wrote a review on this thread. I think the title was " I was in Casa De Campo on 2-20-08" hit the searxh button and see what you find. If you have any questions that were not addressed post them I'll try to help. It is a tough port because there aren't too many excursions, but I LOVED the resort!!!!!

What is ALL included in the day pass of 45.00? How long by taxi from ship ? Is there alot of taxis ready at the resort to take you back ? Thanks !!!!!!

Day pass included food/ drinks ( domestic alcholoic drinks) and non motorized water sports. My taxi waited at the resort for me , we arranged a pick up 4 hours later and the taxi stayed at the resort. It is about a 20-25 min. ride.

The search option is down at present but I will try and access your review later. My concern is getting safe transportation to the resort and back to the port again. I noted that you cab driver agreed to wait for you. Do you remember how much you offered him to do that or was it his idea? I have read so much on these pages about how unsafe this island is but I definately want to get off the ship and do something. I think I will be sick of ship tours by this stage and the resort definately looks beautiful.

The cost of the driver waiting was incorprated into the price ( I think they all wait) we had a van of about 10 and I think we paid about 10.00 pp R/T. I never felt unsafe. If you can't access my review keep asking questions I will strain my brain to remember as much as I can..hahahah
