CSIMelissa Posted October 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2008 New to RCL and am taking the April 19 TA from Galveston. My mom and I book our own air and always stay the night before a cruise. Does RCL offer transport to the port if I stayed at their hotel in Houston? (Hyatt near the airport) If not, how do you get to the port in Galveston WITHOUT renting a car? Hi Melissa We're on your cruise too. RC will sell you transfers at the airport if your hotel has a shuttle to get you over there. I think they are $40 from IAH-no xfers from Hobby for some reason. Rancher Dave Posted October 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2008 http://www.galvestoncruiseshuttle.com/ http://www.galvestonlimousineservice.com/ I'd recommend one of these over going back into the airport on a shuttle to wait and ride a full bus back to Galveston... Of course if you don't have a hotel and like Marriott maybe the Marriott on the airport has a good deal for a quick night once you arrive in which case the underground shuttle will get you to a terminal where you can hook up with the RCCL Shuttle. That of course is IAH... By April Galveston will be so far along the repair path, I'd actually suggest going to stay there when you arrive so you can see some of Galveston and then grab a cab to the port from your hotel on the Island. That's exactly what we're doing. We found a lovely B&B not far from the cruise terminal via http://www.galvestonbedandbreakfast.com Melissa, we're also on the same cruise. Have you registered for the meet and mingle? Carol
