Bama MiMi Posted October 30, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2008 I have tried to search for this information but was unable to find an answer. Does it matter whether I book a morning, lunch, early afternoon or late afternoon whale watching tour in Juneau? Does one time offer more or better sightings than another time? Thanks for all who share their experiences on this forum....it makes planning so much easier for us "Alaska newbies".
Yukon Posted October 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2008 It really doesn't matter - the whales don't care what time of day it is. Although there is sometimes morning mist, I like that feeling and the crews are fresh for the day so for me it balances out.
bmcc Posted October 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 30, 2008 Do we need to worry about rough sea while out doing whale watching at Juneau?
Yukon Posted October 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 30, 2008 Do we need to worry about rough sea while out doing whale watching at Juneau? You're in somewhat sheltered waters all the time at Juneau, but any water can get rough so if seasickness is an issue, take precautions.
