Casino at Sea free drink card question

We just got off the Star (loved it) and am planning our next cruise with the Star next year. We noticed some guests in the casino with these free drink passes hooked to their Casino At Sea cards. Do these guests get these passes because they booked thru Casino at Sea and do you have to have a certain amount of points from a previous cruise to get these passes. I cannot tell you how much alcohol we purchased from the casino and just having one of these cards would save us a lot of cash. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Yes you need to book through CAS. The cards are only good in the Casino. I am not sure on what you need to spend in the Casino in order to book through them but I also beleive Harrah's members get to utilize the CAS booking also (I do not have a Harrahs card but Iam sure someome will chime in with that info) When we booked our cruise we were told the drink cards were still good "at this time" so it made it sound like they may get rid of them but I sure hope not:eek:

I do know if you are a guest of CAS then you get the card. I don't know if you get it just by booking through CAS. They should be able to tell you when you call them. We just got off the Pearl and we had the VIP drink card and I have to say I was impressed with something. I guess the older I get the more jaded I get about people, but I lost my players card in the casino this trip and of course it had my VIP card attached. Well.. I just knew whoever found it would be using the VIP card to get drinks. I went to the casino booth where you sign up for a players card to get a replacement and what do you know.. someone had turned my card in and it still had the VIP card attached. Made me feel good someone did that. I wasn't worried about myself as I knew the casino would get me another one.. heck..by then.. the bar staff all knew us anyway, they even all knew the three possible drinks I would ask for.. but it made me feel good that someone was honest and turned it in, rather than kept and used it.

I'm booked with the Harrah's NCL discount and I did ask if there were any perks such as the free drink card and I was just told last week NO but maybe in the future. All the details are still being worked on.

I have received in the mail a brochure from NCL about their partnership.

It states that there will be exclusive opportunities with NCL and Total Rewards. And members will be able to use their Reward credits to book cruises as well. All this and more coming soon.

BTY, on the back of this brochure are all kinds of coupons to use at any Harrah's property. Free cash, food, rooms, spa and entertainment coupons. Ill be using mine in Atlantic City soon.:D

I booked a one nighter this month and received a Harrahs discount 10%(platinum) . I stayed up most of the night having a great time in the shows and casino and when I we were ready to go to sleep(around 4AM) I found a CAS card and a free drink card in my room, we laughed and went to sleep. Too late for us we had already paid for a few drinks and were ready to go to sleep. But the next time I will check my room for the card.

Regarding number of points, I can't give you and exact amount that is required, but can tell you what I had that qualified me.

On my first NCL cruise, I accumulated 49 points and on my 2nd, 97 points. Yes, I learned to make sure I was there during those triple and double points promotions! :D

Both times, I qualified to book through CAS which does get you that free drink card...worth a lot if you like to drink while you gamble...even soda!
