Organizing a Group Cruise

I have only one cruise under my belt (Valor, 10/12/08) and would love to cruise again, only this time, I'd like to include DH's and my Families, along with any friends that would love to come along-

how would one even begin to organize such a thing? And are there any "perks" to doing so?

Hi. I am in the process of doing this right now.

 

If you book 8 cabins, 2 people in each, 1 person gets to ride for free. We are going to take this savings and split it between everyone.

 

We are also getting $75 OBC for each cabin.

 

The rates that I was quoted (and have in writing) are lower than the ones on the Carnival website right now so that is good. Plus I asked and got a reduced deposit of $75 pp.

We're trying to get one of these for a CTN for a group of HS friends and assorted ne'er do wells. How would one go about setting this up. Splitting the savings sounds like a great idea to me.

I would recommend talking with a TA that is experienced with groups...if you have not done one, it can get confusing and very time consuming. Each cruise and date may have different group amenity points. A TA will be able to explain everything to you and help you along the way.

She can get in started and turn it over to the groups department. She can still stay on as the contact person. I am doing a group cruise for family and friends, we have about 42 people so far and my pvp started it for me. We got a reduced deposit of $50.00 for 4 months then had to pay rest of deposit. We are getting obc of $50.00. And the rates were lower than the posted price.
