bilx0424 Posted November 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2008 Ahoy! I will be setting sail on the Conquest December 14, 2008. We are on the Lido deck 8D. I have not sailed with Carnival before. My husband and I took our honeymoon last December on the NCL Spirit out of NOLA. I am generally very happy to eat any food I don’t have to cook myself but the food on the Spirit…YUCK and I paid for every dinner. I am very much looking forward to dining with carnival. It seems MUCH better!!!! Question: My Husband and I would like to sit at a table for two at dinner. When I called to request this they told me I would have to arrange it when I board the ship? How likely is it they will be able to accommodate this request? Also, just for daydreaming purposes…are the “Drink of the Day” strong? Thanks for your time!!!! yst347 Posted November 4, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2008 When you check-in in Galveston you will receive your Sign and Sail card. It is both your room key and charge card. The card will show the dining room, time and table number for your dinner assignment. After you board go to the dining room you have been assigned. The door may be closed but you can walk in. Find your table. If the numbers are not on the tables, ask an employee which table is yours. If you do not have a table for two, you will need to see the maitre d' and request a change. He will usually be available after 1:30 pm at the lobby entrance to the Renoir dining room. You should check the ship newspaper "Carnival Capers" for the exact time and location. A copy will be in your cabin but you can pickup a copy at the information desk in the lobby when you board. Make sure your request is in as soon as possible. Chances are you will be accommodated but you will be asked to dine at your current assignment the first night.
