queenbee2 Posted November 5, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2008 We are cruising on the Sky Nov. 20th. Has anyone done this excursion? We think it might be easier to book with NCL since the price is pretty competitive with the private tours. We are looking for a beach day and snorkling. Some can swim, some can snorkle... Do you have enough time at the cay? Also does it allow time to return and hit the market or whatever?
melana Posted November 6, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2008 I want to see some answers to this too. I am sailing in Feb on the SKY and I am really thinking of doing this same excursion. It looks a lot more fun than going to atlantis..
Melbearco Posted November 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2008 There are definitely fleas here!!!! Just returned from a RCCL Majesty of the Sea cruise and took that excursion. Shortly after returning my husband started itching all over and welts started appearing all over his body (over 100). He went to see the "doctor" on board who told him it was an allergic reaction, drew blood, stuck an IV in his arm and sent him on his way with a $600.00 bill. Next day when things were not better he returned to the doctor who then proceeded to give him antibiotics and calamine lotion. I also had quite a few welts on my body and the itching is unbearable. As soon as we got home I googled Blackbeard's Cay and found blogs dating back for a few years discussing just this problem and that RCCL is aware of it. This is a disgrace!!!!!
