Ruins with children

I would suggest Altun Ha in Belize. It is a smaller Maya ruin site and it took us an hour on the road to get there. Some of the other ruins are two or more hours on the bus. A seven-year old has a tolerance level that might not bode well with a 2hour+ bus ride to the site..

The site itself is quite nice. It is an easy walk, and not too spread out, so a seven-year-old will do OK. You can also climb three of the pyramids, and there are two that are smaller and one that is much taller!

I am not sure about the ones in Costa Maya, so I can't comment on them. Belize is beautiful and THEY SPEAK ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!
